About Kreuzberg: the back story
Kreuzberg, south of Mitte, lay on the West side of the Wall. Today it runs from Checkpoint Charlie and the Jewish Museum to the Landwehr Canal and the Oberbaum Bridge, with the U1 on its elevated viaduct.
