Berlin is easy to get around on one ticket: the U-Bahn, S-Bahn, trams, buses and ferries all share the same fares. Zones A and B cover the city; zone C adds BER Airport and Potsdam.
Buses 100 and 200
The double-decker bus 100 runs between Zoologischer Garten and Alexanderplatz past the Victory Column, the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden and Museum Island. Bus 200 takes a southern route by the Philharmonie and Potsdamer Platz. Both run on a standard BVG ticket.
Tickets and zones
A single ticket costs €4.00 for zones AB and €5.00 for ABC (reduced, ages 6 to 14: €2.50 and €3.50), and is valid for two hours in one direction, with as many changes as you like (bvg.de, 25 Oct 2026). Buy in the BVG app or at machines, and validate paper tickets before you travel.
Ride bus 100 on the top deck from Zoo to Alexanderplatz: a sightseeing tour for the price of a ticket.
From BER
BER Airport is in zone C. The FEX airport express and regional trains run to the Hauptbahnhof, and the S-Bahn serves the airport too; plan on bahn.de or bvg.de.
Taxis
Licensed taxis wait at the stations and the airport, and can be booked by phone or app.
Our advice: buy an ABC ticket for the airport and for Potsdam.
